Code of Conduct

Kingsley Tails Code of Conduct.

For All Dog Care Professionals

At Kingsley Tails, we’re committed to raising the standard of dog care – and we want every
professional on our platform to share that commitment.

This Code of Conduct sets out what we expect from everyone who joins. By agreeing to it,
you’re helping us build a trusted, safe, and caring community for dogs and their owners.

1.
Keep Your Profile Honest & Up to Date

Everything you share on your Kingsley Tails profile must be correct, current, and accurate
from your qualifications and insurance to your services and experience.
We check profiles regularly, so it’s important to stay honest and up to date.

2.
Stay Compliant with Our Core Requirements

To remain listed on Kingsley Tails, you must keep the following up to date:

  • A valid DBS check
  • Your public liability insurance
  • A dog first aid certificate
  • Any other relevant qualifications (e.g. training or behaviour certificates)

We’ll send reminders, but it’s your responsibility to renew these when needed.

3.
Always Put the Dog First

The safety, wellbeing, and happiness of the dog should always come before anything else.
We only support positive, force-free methods. We do not allow any harsh or outdated
techniques (like shock collars or dominance-based training).

4.
Be Professional, Kind & Honest

  • Treat every client and dog with respect.
  • Be clear about what services you offer and what your experience is.
  • Don’t exaggerate or make false claims about your skills or background.
  • Communicate openly, clearly, and kindly – even when issues come up.

5.
Keep Learning, Keep Improving

We believe great dog care professionals never stop learning.
We expect everyone on Kingsley Tails to keep up with the latest in dog welfare, training,
behaviour, and safety.
Whether it’s a course, workshop, or reading up on new research – we love to see our
professionals growing.

6.
Offer Great Customer Service

You’re not just caring for dogs – you’re also building trust with their owners.
Keep your communication friendly and professional, be reliable, and take feedback seriously.
A great customer experience makes a big difference.

7.
Uphold Our Values

By joining Kingsley Tails, you’re agreeing to our standards, morals, and mission – to raise the
bar in the dog care industry.
We’re here to support quality, trust, kindness, and safety above all else.

8.
If Standards Aren’t Met…

We take quality and honesty seriously. We reserve the right to pause or remove your
Kingsley Tails membership if we find:

  • False or misleading information on your profile
  • Out-of-date DBS, insurance, or qualifications
  • Any behaviour that puts dogs at risk
  • Repeated complaints about your care or conduct
  • Unprofessional, illegal, or abusive behaviour

Our goal is to keep this platform safe and supportive for everyone – especially the dogs.

By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, you’re confirming that:

  • Your profile is accurate and kept up to date
  • You’ll renew your DBS, insurance, and training when needed
  • You put dog welfare first – always
  • You treat clients and dogs with respect
  • You align with Kingsley Tails’ values
  • You’re committed to learning and growing
  • You understand we may suspend or remove accounts that don’t meet our standards
